Miguel Rosales Zabal is a consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, thus he’s interested in the entire broad field of the Digestive System and its techniques, both endoscopy, and digestive ultrasound. Training and background
Dr. Rosales is a specialist in Digestive Diseases after completing his MIR training period at the Digestive System Unit of the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella. However, previously, he specialized in Family and Community Medicine at the San Cecilio University Clinical Hospital in Granada and at the Zaidín Sur Health Center in the same city. As a result of this specialty, he obtained the position of Family Physician of Critical Care and Emergencies at the Hospital Costa del Sol, in addition to obtaining the Emergency Medical Certificate from the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine and being an Instructor in Advanced Life Support of the National CPR Plan, working as an Emergency Physician until 2008.
Currently, he works as a specialist in Digestive Diseases in the public sector at the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella, combining it with his private activity. Furthermore, he has a master’s degree in Hepatology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Alcalá, a university expert in Biomedical Research and Law from the UNED, and an expert in Health Management from the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
He belongs to the Infections Commission of the Costa del Sol Hospital of which he was secretary and is an advisor to the Web Committee. In addition to being an expert of the Spanish Foundation of the Digestive System, he is a member of the Andalusian and Spanish Societies of Digestive Pathology. Lastly, he belongs to the Spanish Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
