He qualified in Medicine at the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1984
The following years were spent in hospital posts in Geriatric Medicine, General Surgery, Accident and Emergency, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Paediatrics.
He completed the Vocational Training Scheme for General Practice in London.
In 1990 he set up his practice Crichton Clinic in Puerto Banus, Marbella on the Costa del Sol.
In 2015 Crichton Clinic relocated to new, larger premises and was renamed Atlantic Clinic.
Over 35 years experience practising Medicine on the coast has ensured a thorough understanding of the Spanish health system and he is well connected to the best specialists and hospitals in both Spain and Britain.

Dr Weber-Macartney is a dual national, holding both British and French nationality. He grew up in the UK, completing his higher education at Wilson’s Grammar, followed by his medical degree at the University of Manchester.
Between 2011 and 2018, Dr Weber-Macartney gained experience in a variety of hospital posts including Accident & Emergency, Paediatrics, Geriatric Medicine, Stroke Medicine, Psychiatry, Urological and General Surgery, as well as spending a year as a clinical fellow in Intensive Care Medicine.
After completing his Vocational Training Scheme for General Practice (in 2018), Dr Weber-Macartney continued to work for the NHS in a busy Primary Care setting as a salaried GP at Caterham Valley Medical Practice – serving a large community in South London, where he was subsequently offered a Partnership in 2020. He enjoyed his time there for six years working closely with a team of four partners.
After much consideration Dr Weber-Macartney left the Partnership and relocated with his Spanish family to the Costa del Sol in 2026, where he was given the opportunity to join the Atlantic Clinic.
Dr Weber-Macartney has a broad experience in General Practice, with an interest in all areas of family medicine including geriatric care, paediatrics, dermatology, mental health, acute illness and chronic disease management. He also has an interest in cryotherapy for benign skin lesions.
